Surveytime is a paid survey site where you can supposedly get paid instantly for completing online surveys.
But is Surveytime legit and really a fast paying survey site or is it a scam to stay away from?
I have joined and tested it myself and have used it regularly over the last few years and have been paid by it many times.
So let me just say up front that it is legit, as I know from personal experience that it does pay (you can see proof of payment later in this review). However, this does not mean that it is necessarily worth it for you.
In this Surveytime review you will learn exactly what you get and how it works, so you can easily decide if it is a site for you or not.
What is Surveytime and what does it offer?
Surveytime.io is a very simple and easy to use survey site that allows you to share your opinion through surveys and get paid for it.
It is so simple that it almost confused me when I first joined 🙂 This may sound strange, but there is not much information on the site, so I was actually quite suspicious when I first saw it.
I decided to join anyway, and as I said, it turned out to be definitely a legitimate site, as I have been paid by them several times myself.
But in order to know whether or not it’s worth it for you, let’s have a look at exactly what it offers and how it works.
It is, as I said, very simple, but this may also confuse you at first. There are a few steps you need to take to start earning and I will explain them below.
Step 1 – Register and confirm your email address
To get started with Surveytime, you need to register first. You probably figured that out already 🙂
The reason I mention this step is because the registration process is a bit different from most other survey sites.
It is very easy to join by just giving your email and name.
However, it is different in that you do not have to choose your own password, which confused me at first.
After you join, one is automatically generated for you and sent to you by email.
You will also need to confirm your email address, as is usual with survey sites. This step is important on Surveytime – without confirming your email you will not be able to get your rewards.
So those are the first steps to joining. Still pretty straightforward, although a little different. What confused me at first was the next step.
Step 2 – Complete a profile surve
The next step on Surveytime is a bit different from most other survey sites.
As soon as you join, you are asked to complete a survey to fill in your profile so that they can match you with surveys.

Most survey sites have a profile you can fill out to get a better chance of qualifying for surveys, so there is nothing unusual about that.
But at Surveytime you have to fill it out before you even get to the member area. It is a bit unusual to be asked to spend 10-15 minutes on an initial survey before you have even seen what is on offer in the members area.
It made me a bit suspicious to be honest.
During the profile survey I was also asked the same questions several times, which made me a bit annoyed and not sure what was going on.
However, the reason for this was probably to check the consistency of my answers, to see if I was being honest. So if you take part, make sure you answer honestly so that you can give consistent answers.
Fortunately, it did not take too long to complete. It says it should take about 15 minutes, but for me it only took about 10 minutes.
I honestly almost gave up during the first survey because I was a bit confused about what was going on and not sure if it was legit, but I was also curious and had to finish it to see what would happen:-)
I am glad I did. Because even though the initial sign up process confused me a bit, it turns out that there are some really good survey options once you are a member.
So make sure you fill out the survey profiler when you join – it will be worth it on the other side 🙂
Step 3 – Take the surveys
I was very curious to see what Surveytime had to offer.
It actually turned out to be quite a lot of survey opportunities. When I first joined Surveytime there was a list of surveys in the members area. However, this has changed. Now there are two ways to get access to the surveys.
One way is to login to the member area. Here you will see if there is a survey available for you.
Inside the member area you will find the survey scanner.
This works like a survey scanner. It looks for surveys and if there are any, you will get the message you see above. This does not necessarily mean that you qualify for the survey. But if you do not qualify, the scanner will look for another survey and see if there are any more available.
Sometimes it can take some patience to find the surveys you qualify for, but there are a good number of surveys available through the members area. There may even be times when there are none, but then you can come back later.
This is all you will find in the members area. There is not even a profile where you can change your password or anything like that. There is just the poll scanner.
There is another way to get surveys. Once you have registered, you will sometimes receive an email inviting you to take a survey.
You will also receive survey invitations by email.
You can see right away how long the survey will take and whether it is desktop only or mobile only.
Receiving email invitations like this is very user friendly in my opinion. Just make sure you also log in and check for surveys in the member area as not all surveys are sent by email.
I have seen some people say that they have not received any surveys for a while, but in fact it was just the emails that they did not receive. They could still have found surveys by logging in.
Overall, the way Surveytime is built is very simple, and the simplicity makes it very easy to use.
Not only in the way you simply get the available surveys, but also in the payout method, as we will get to in the next section.
The surveys are conducted through third party providers, so you click on a survey and are then taken to another site where you complete the survey.
Once you have completed the survey you will be taken back to Surveytime where you can see the reward and decide how you want to receive it.
Personally, Surveytime has worked great for me, but I have heard feedback that others sometimes have technical problems with the surveys there – just so you know. I will talk a little more about this later in this review.
How do you get paid?
The payout method is another area where Surveytime is a little different from many other sites.
The first thing you need to know is that all surveys have the same reward. Every time you complete a survey you will receive $1.
If there are no $1 surveys available, you may be offered a $0.50 survey, but you will always be told before you start the survey. And the general rule is that you earn $1 per survey.
I have tried to get $1 for a 2 minute survey and $1 for a 7 minute survey. There is no differentiation, which of course makes it very easy to know exactly what you are getting.
Some surveys will therefore have a very high reward compared to other survey sites, while others may have a slightly lower reward. But overall, the reward for time spent on Surveytime is very good compared to many other sites.
Surveytime also sometimes offers surveys for $0.50, but this is not something they offer in all countries, so it may not even be available to you.
Once you have completed a survey, you will be asked how you would like to receive your reward. The type of reward available will depend on your country. However, most countries offer PayPal and Bitcoin as options.
PayPal is one of the withdrawal options in most countries.
Some countries also offer other payment methods. For example, in the USA you can choose to be paid in PayPal cash as well as gift cards from Amazon, Target and Decathlon. In some countries you can also choose to be paid in Bitcoin.
PayPal as a payout method is used on many survey sites and is a great way to get your rewards in my opinion. And the way you get your money at Surveytime is something I have never seen before.
As you can see in the picture above, right after you complete a survey you have to choose how you want to get your money. I chose to be paid via PayPal.
I then had to verify my phone number. According to Surveytime, this is to protect your rewards and they will never use your number for anything else.
It was only for the first payout that I had to verify the phone number with a code I received in a text message, so no problem at all. And I did not experience the number being shared or anything like that, as is sometimes the case with dodgy survey sites.
Anyway, it took less than 1 minute and once that was done and I chose PayPal, I received an email a few minutes later saying that I had now received my reward.
I received my payment within minutes of completing my first survey.
There are other survey sites where you can get your rewards as soon as you earn $1 and get them super fast.
But this is the first time I have seen it like this, where you get the money instantly and do not have to actively choose when you want to be paid.
I think this has both advantages and disadvantages.
The advantage is that you get your money straight away. I like survey sites that pay out quickly as opposed to sites where you sometimes have to wait weeks for the survey to be approved before you get your reward.
However, I also like being able to choose when I want to be paid. I think it can be nice to accumulate a bit of money in the survey site’s account and then have it paid out all at once.
But overall I think it is great with such a fast payout and it is one of the fastest I have seen, but if you prefer to wait and accumulate money in your account before you get a payout then Surveytime is not for you.
How much money can you earn?
In theory, there is no limit to how many surveys you can complete at Surveytime as long as there are surveys available.
But of course there are not an unlimited number of surveys available.
How many are available depends a lot on the country you live in. But in my experience there is a decent amount available and there are also surveys available in countries where it can be difficult to find surveys.
So it is definitely a way to make some extra cash on the side. But like all other paid survey sites, it will not be a way to make a full time online income and not something that will make you rich.
But Surveytime can be a nice way to share your opinion and earn some nice extra cash at the same time.
Can you use it on mobile?
Surveytime.io is fully mobile optimised and the website itself works well on mobile.
But there is now also a Surveytime app for both Android and iOS devices, so if you want to earn by taking surveys on the go, it is very easy.
It can also be done via the website or by clicking on the invitation link in the emails you receive if you prefer not to download the app.
Just be aware that since the surveys are taken on websites from different providers, it is not certain that all of them will be fully optimised for mobile.
Most of them will definitely be able to be taken on a mobile phone, but just be aware that there may be surveys that require a bit of scrolling in and out.
The great thing about the survey invitations you receive by email is that it will clearly state whether it is desktop only or mobile only. If it says nothing, you can take it on any device.
Who can join Surveytime?
What I really like about Surveytime is that it is available worldwide.
However, the amount of surveys available will vary from country to country. But any country can join and it offers good opportunities even for countries where it can be more difficult to find survey opportunities.
The platform is also available in several languages. You can choose the language at the top of the screen.

At the time of writing it is available in English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.
However, many of the surveys will actually be in your own local language, even if one of these languages is not your native language.
Can you get support?
One thing that is a bit strange about Surveytime is that at first I could not find any contact information for their support on their website.
There is a FAQ section where you can get answers to most questions, but there is no contact information.
I did manage to find an email address for their support in their privacy policy. However, I checked this directly with Surveytime and it turned out that this was not the best way to contact their support. They told me that the best way to contact support directly is to write to: [email protected].
Just be aware that you will not be writing to an actual person called Tomy from Surveytime, but just a general support email address that they use.
However, you can also try to contact them via their Facebook page.
However, after I first published this review, many readers have told me that they have not been able to get in touch with Surveytime, and it often takes several messages to get in touch with them.
I myself have contacted their support on several occasions and have been told that they are working on improving their support. And after some of the negative feedback was posted on my review (see comments below the review), Surveytime actually answered many of them here on this review, as you can see.
However, it seems that the support is kind of on and off – sometimes they are very quick to reply and other times there is silence for quite a long time. This is based not only on my own experience, but also on the feedback I get from visitors to this site.
Surveytime complaints
After initially posting my Surveytime review, I have received a lot of feedback from people who have tried it. Some people love it and get really good results, but others have problems with it.
I have heard several people mention that they complete a survey, but then sometimes they get an error and there are problems with payment. This can happen sometimes, but from the feedback I get it seems to be a regular occurrence with Surveytime in some countries.
Another complaint I hear is that they don’t get a quick response from support when there are technical problems – because technical problems can happen on any site, but the important thing is how quickly support fixes them. But I have already gone into detail about this above.
I want to make it clear that I myself have had no problems with Surveytime, and I have also received feedback from people who love the site and do very well on it.
But I also have to recognise that this is not everyone’s experience, so I wanted to add this section here so that you can get a more wholesome picture of what the site has to offer and the potential good and bad sides before you decide if it is for you or not.
Final verdict
Surveytime is a legitimate and simple survey site that pays out quickly.
This does not necessarily mean that it is the best site for you. So let’s summarise the pros and cons to help you decide whether or not to join.

If you like to get your rewards straight away, Surveytime offers some pretty good rewards for short surveys and you get your money straight away.
If you prefer to have more money in your account before cashing out, you should consider other survey sites instead.
The only thing you have to be aware of is that if you have any problems with the site, the support is not the fastest. I have not had any problems myself and have been paid out without a hitch. But if you do run into problems, sometimes you have to be patient with their support.
