Let’s start with the name to avoid any confusion. When the platform started it was called IPRoyal Pawns. It has gone through a lot of changes since then and has now changed its name, so the official name is now Pawns app.
But whether you hear IPRoyal Pawns or Pawns.app, it is the same platform that has just been rebranded. For the rest of this Pawns App review, I will mainly refer to it as Pawns to stick to the official name.

Some will use it to access geo-blocked content, while some companies will use it to check that their ads are running correctly and appearing on the right websites.

How do you get paid?
As explained above, you earn a set amount for each gigabyte of bandwidth you sell and for each survey you complete. This is stored in your Pawns.app account balance.
You can withdraw your earnings once you reach $5, which is quite low compared to some similar sites, which I think is a definite plus.
You can be paid by PayPal, Bitcoin or gift cards.
Once you’ve reached the threshold, you’ll have the option to withdraw via PayPal, Bitcoin or virtual gift cards.
The exact gift cards you can choose from will depend on the country you live in. In some countries there may be only Visa virtual gift cards or none at all, while in other countries you can choose from over 50 different gift cards.
As you can see, the payment system is quite straightforward.
The only thing you need to be aware of is that they charge a processing fee for some withdrawal options. For PayPal they charge a 4% fee, which is quite high and a shame that they charge so much in my opinion.
For some gift cards there is no processing fee, so this is also something to consider before cashing out.
They have changed these withdrawal methods since I first joined and it is great to see them listening to their users and now offering Bitcoin and Gift Cards as a withdrawal method.
They used to offer Payoneer and PayPal and I think it is a shame that they no longer offer Payoneer. The other methods are definitely great, but Payoneer can be a great option if you want to get paid in cash and PayPal is not available in your country.
Either way, they still offer great withdrawal methods.
I like the fact that they have a very low payout threshold, which means that you can withdraw your earnings quite quickly.
I also like the fact that they offer very convenient payment methods such as PayPal, Bitcoin and gift cards.

How much money can you make?

And the good thing is that it’s a passive way of earning. To put it in perspective, Pawns.app claims that on average users earn between $5 and $140 per month using the passive income method.
But this depends on a number of things. Your earnings will largely depend on your location and network speed.
If you have a high-speed internet connection, you have a better chance of selling more bandwidth. As for location, countries like the US and countries in Europe have the highest earning potential.
Also, if you take paid surveys or use the referral programme, you can increase your earnings significantly.
So overall, I’d say Pawns.app has good earning potential, especially if you live in the countries mentioned above.
Can you use it on mobile?
Originally, Pawns only worked on a laptop or desktop.
But since they have developed an app for Android and iOS, you can now earn from your mobile phone, which you can download from the Google Play Store or the App Store.
