MarketAgent is a survey site available in many countries. It claims that you can help design products and earn money in the process.
But is MarketAgent legitimate and worth joining or is it a waste of time?
I have tested and used hundreds of paid survey sites, including MarketAgent, and in this MarketAgent review I will share my experience with you.
You will get an inside look and learn all the pros and cons so you can easily decide if this is the right opportunity for you or not.
What is MarketAgent and what does it offer?
MarketAgent.com is based in Switzerland. On the website you will find the actual address as well as a telephone number.
It is almost always a good sign when you can find this kind of information on a survey site, as it is a sign that there is a legitimate and real company behind it, as it is not trying to hide its location.
And let me just reveal right away that MarketAgent is legit and potentially a way to make some extra money.
However, being legitimate does not mean that a site is worth joining.
So let’s have a look at what MarketAgent.com offers so you can see if it’s for you or not.
Option 1 – Paid surveys:
Paid surveys are the main way to make money on MarketAgent. It is simple to use and easy to navigate.
And it has recently undergone a major update, making the design more modern and user friendly than when I first joined, and it is always a good sign when sites keep updating and evolving.
Once logged in, you can click through to see all the surveys available.
There are a decent number of MarketAgent surveys available.
There are quite a few surveys available, but exactly how many you get access to depends on the country you live in and your profile.
The best way to make sure you get as many surveys as possible is to keep your profile up to date and make sure you fill it out as soon as you join, if you decide to join after reading this review.
In general, the MarketAgent surveys pay a decent wage for your time, but it is not one of the highest paying survey sites.
However, you can still earn some decent money by taking surveys here and I like that they make it very clear how many points you will get per survey and approximately how long each survey will take to complete.
In my experience, you will not always receive an email when a new survey is available for you, so it can be a good idea to log in and check for available surveys from time to time.
Option 2 – MarketAgent Mini Surveys:
Within the member area you will find a number of what MarketAgent calls Mini Surveys.
The mini surveys can be fun, but you will not earn any money by taking them.
They only take 1 second to complete. However, you need to be aware that you are not being paid to take these mini-surveys.
They are just for fun and are created by other members. You can also create your own mini-surveys and get answers from other members.
I suppose they can be fun to take part in. However, I personally find them a waste of time and prefer to concentrate on the paid surveys.
Option 3 – Invite your friends:
There is another way to make a little extra money on MarketAgent. This is by inviting friends to join.
You can share an invitation link with your friends and if they end up joining, you can potentially earn 100 points (I will go into how much the points are worth below).
However, you need to be aware that it is not enough for them to just join. They have to complete at least one survey before you get the reward.
But if you have a lot of friends who might be interested in joining, it can be a way to earn a little extra.
However, compared to many other refer-a-friend programmes, it does not have a very high earning potential.
Option 4 – Browser Alerts:
This is not as much of an earning option, but I wanted to mention it here as it can be a way to increase your earnings.
You can enable browser alerts on the website itself in the “Alerts” section. When you turn it on, a popup will show you the notifications.
You can choose to receive a browser notification when there is a new survey on MarketAgent.com.
Whether this is a good way to be informed about new surveys or whether it is annoying is a personal choice, but now you know that it is an option.
And, as mentioned above, it can be a way to increase your earnings by letting you know about available surveys right away, so you can get to them before they fill up (many surveys only have a limited number of slots).
How do you get paid?
As you have probably already figured out, you are paid in points when you complete surveys on MarketAgent.
These points can then be exchanged for various rewards.
You can get paid in cash or donate to charity.
If you want to get paid in cash, you can get paid via PayPal or Skrill. Alternatively, you can choose to donate your earnings to various charities.
You need to earn at least 1,000 points to be able to withdraw. This is worth around $10/€10. So 100 points are worth about $1.
Just be aware that the exact payout methods and thresholds can vary from country to country (I’ll go over which countries it’s available in later).
Overall, I think MargetAgent offers good payout methods and it is fairly easy to reach the payout threshold.
This is something that has definitely improved since I first joined MarketAgent, where the points system was very confusing, so it is nice to see that they have made this more user friendly.
However, if your preferred payment method is PayPal, in my experience there are PayPal survey sites with better reward options.
How much money can you earn?
To be honest, you should not expect to make a lot of money with MarketAgent. The number of opportunities will vary from country to country.
It does offer a decent number of surveys and a decent pay per survey and this has definitely improved over the last few years. However, do not expect to earn too much.
But as an additional survey site it may be worth considering.
Can you use it on your mobile?
MarketAgent has its own app which is really great. It can make it easy to take a survey from time to time when you have a little extra time.
You can download the MarketAgent app for iOS and Android devices.
The app is very simple and easy to use.
You can download it for both Android and iOS devices, so compatibility will not be an issue for most people.
Who can use MarketAgent?
MarketAgent is available in over 70 countries, and this is another area where it has improved since I first joined, when it was available in far fewer countries.
However, if you are interested in joining, you will need to check the website to see if it is available in your country, as I cannot list them all here. Also, the platform is constantly expanding, so if your country is not available now, it may be in the future.
One thing I like about MarketAgent is that in the countries where it is available, in most cases it is available in the local language. This means that you can take surveys in your own language and navigate the platform in your own language.
Final Verdict
MarketAgent is definitely a legitimate survey site. However, this does not mean that it is worth joining.
But let’s end this review with a summary of the pros and cons so you can get an overview and decide whether or not it’s a site you should join.

Overall, MarketAgent has definitely improved over the last few years and it can be a way to earn a little extra by sharing your opinion.
However, in my opinion, there are simply better survey sites out there, so MarketAgent is only a good option if you want to join as many sites as possible. If you want to prioritise your time and only join a few sites, I think you should focus on other sites.
